Roofing ceremony in Berlin-Oberschöneweide

With nearly 300 guests in attendance, the Berlin high-tech company celebrated the roofing ceremony on Friday. "We want to produce the first semi-conductors in the new factory  by early September," announced Silicon Sensor CEO, Dr. Bernd Kriegel

The goal is clear: Silicon Sensor GmbH already wants to install 150-ton machines in the new production hall in mid-August at the old industrial grounds in Oberschöneweide.

Berlin senator for economics Harald Wolf also attended the ceremony: "Here in Oberschöneweide, at a location that was previously considered an industrial location of the past, a renewed industrial future is emerging with the new chip factory."
